Don't hear it, LISTEN To It!

Tadaimaaaaaaaaa XD

It's been a long time since my last post, eh? Gomen gomen, I've been lazy all this time. Boredom syndrome, I guess :p

Well, still remember what I said earlier about 'listening'? Yea, it's easy to said than done. Many people thought they're listening but in fact, they're just HEARING. There's a HUGE difference between, you know. When we're listening, we also UNDERSTAND what it means. But when we're just hearing, we'll miss many things and even become self-defending.

Many smart people (I said smart, not CLEVER) considered themselves as listener. Is it true? Sadly, it's just their imagination and their expectation of themselves. In fact, they're not even more than ignoramus. Silly.

What I'm trying to say is, please be patient and LISTEN to others whoever they are.  When someone says something to us and then suddenly there is a direct 'self-defending' reflex, be careful. It could be a sign that we are only hearing, not listening. Because when we are listening and what other person is saying is something wrong, our reflex is to fix it based on love and advise him wisely.

Well, you don't get my point, do you? Gomen, I'm not good at expressing my feeling through writing, I'm a verbal person. but I'll keep trying anyway.

If you're really listening, you will never ever interrupting other person with your argument impatiently. If you're really listening, you will not harass what other person says. If you're really listening, even if you do not agree with what other person is saying, you're not going to "strike back" with the words that will hurt him or make him feel cornered. If you're really listening, you will never underestimate other person, whoever it will be. And if you're really listening, you'll see others' eyes
deeply without any intimidating.

Well, I know it's hard. But we have to keep trying, right? If we want to be listened, we have to listen to others first. Don't let our hearts become hard, dark, our narrow then closing and our ears and our common sense. Is there anything we boast about so we don't want to listen to others? Are we knowledgeable enough? Or are we too proud of ourselves? Or do we think we're perfect and always right so we do not want to listen to others?

May Allah enlighten our hearts, our mind, and our hearing so that we become more easily listening, understanding, learning something, and become a better person each day.

Love,
@listysoesilo
